The Chestnut class would like to thank Craig Rutherford from Promotif, Kelso, for his very kind donation of t-shirts for our weekly cafe. Craig has donated beautiful red printed polo shirts for all our students and staff to wear every Friday. These shirts have helped to give a sense of pride in our cafe and further build the work experiences we are developing for our students.
Our cafe continues to run most Fridays and is so well supported by the school community. It allows us to build life and work skills in a meaningful and purposeful way, while building language and communication skills.
Thank you again Craig for your support, it is much appreciated.
Congratulations to all of our prizewinners for session 2024-25.
This week, Berwickshire High School has embraced ‘Mental Health Awareness Week’ with enthusiasm, compassion, and creativity. Across all faculties, staff have come together to deliver lessons with a strong focus on mental health, helping students to explore what it means, how it affects us all differently, and how to manage the challenges it can bring.
See article below for the full story.

As you will have seen in a recent HeadsUp, we are always grateful to receive donations of books and have set up an Amazon Wishlist.
On Thursday 5th September, we held a very successful Senior Awards Ceremony, with a packed hall of families, sponsors, VIPs and, of course, students. Our alumni guest speaker, Sally-Anne Peek, gave a wonderful speech talking about her route through education, finding her passions in life, and taking risks.
Congratulations to all our award winners.
Congratulations to our Head Team for 2024-2025:
