Youth and Philanthropy Initiative

Please enter an introduction for your news story here.

The Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) is a powerful active citizenship programme, empowering young people to make a difference in their communities while developing a range of skills. Each school is responsible for directing a grant of £3000 to a local charity championed by it’s students through a unique programme of teamwork, research, and competition.

This year our finalists chosen charities were Duns First Responders, Berwickshire Swap, Border Pet Rescue and Borders Children’s Charity.  Judges decided the overall winners this year were Duns First Responders (Charlotte Stewart, Catriona Gray, Eliza Bevan, Erin Doyle & Eloise Fleming).

Well done to all involved!
