The school pastoral system ensures that every child has an identified adult who has specific responsibility for them in school and who liaises closely with home. We call this person the student’s Head of Year.

Heads of Year are responsible for the pastoral care of all students in their year group. You can contact your child's Head of Year directly via the 'Contact' page. Heads of Years are supported in their work by Pastoral Support Workers  (PSWs).

Heads of Years also work closely with external partners and agencies, including Educational Psychologists, Social Work, and Skills Development Scotland.

Heads of Year have a small teaching commitment, delivering lessons as part of our Health & Wellbeing curriculum.
